France-based Plastisud is looking at improving business in North America by acquiring Integrity Mold & Die, a mould maker based in Kentucky, the US.
“Plastisud already is an international company, exporting 80% of its moulds to the five continents,” CEI Jean-Luc Giraud said in a statement. “With the addition of integrity, we now have a more robust global presence.”
Spokesperson Philippe Mafille said North America is a particularly important region for Plastisud, which plans to invest in expansion at the Kentucky site.
ʺThe 13 acre plant has a 25 square foot building and we are hoping to double the production surface,ʺ he told European Plastics News. ʺThere is a lot of capacity to expand.ʺ
Integrity Mold & Die has 25 years experience, especially in thin-walled packaging, he added.
The acquisition price was not disclosed.
