A CLACTON form has gone global after opening a factory in China.
Plastics firm Dalau has opened a hi-tech 20,000sqft factory in Suzhou despite the struggling world economy.
The company, which is based in Ford Road, started as a family business more than 50 years ago.
Brothers David and Laurence Sage launched their careers in a garage in Clacton using a basic press and family cooker to process plastics.
The Chinese factory is packed with the latest technology.
MD David Sage said: “I am proud and pleased to be opening our first factory in Asia. With our other sites in the UK, USA and Germany, this now makes us a global supplier.”
