Umeco’s Structural Materials business has signed an agreement with Canadian motorsports organisation Multimatic Motorsports to sponsor two Aston Martin Vantage V8s in the 2012 Grand-Am Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge (CTSCC).
Umeco has been a supplier to Multimatic for over ten years, providing composite materials for various projects, including the Aston Martin One-77 carbon fibre monocoque.
Since its racing debut in 1992, Multimatic Motorsports, the competition arm of Multimatic Engineering, has established itself as one of North America’s premier racing organisations. Multimatic is actively engaged in car design, engineering, testing and development, track support and turn-key competition management, and is proficient in the application of advanced composites.
