Arrk Europe has invested in a 3, 200 tonne injection moulding machine from Krauss Maffei for its tooling and molding facility in Petersfield, Hampshire. According to the company, the purchase of the KM 3200 – 33000MX is a clear statement of Arrk’s continued growth in the UK and its commitment to providing customers with a range of first class capabilities.
Peter Kite, plant operations manager at the Petersfield technical centre, said: “This is great news for everyone, staff and customers alike. This new machine makes us ideally placed to support our customers’ needs now and well into the future.”
The £1m is due to be delivered in February, becoming fully operational during in March. Arrk already operates a 3,200 tonne machine at the site, but with growing demand from clients in the aftermarket the decision was made to add a second installation.
Royden Morgan, general manager for the site, added: “We are extremely happy to be purchasing one of the very best injection moulding machines available on the market as it fits in with our continued strategy of presenting our customers with the highest quality, efficiency and reliability.”
